Place was great. Room was awesome. Went for supper in the restaurant and I felt like an inconvenience. I was the only one there, but the waiter was less than happy. He was short with me, smelled of cigarette smoke and when I asked about dessert he was even less enthusiastic about that. “Yeah chocolate mousse and cheesecake “…what kind? “Cheesecake “. Left a tip but he didn’t deserve it! Also didn’t like that I couldn’t prepare my own tea in the room.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff takes beautiful care of their guests. The complementary coffee that they offer in the morning is very good, which we appreciated. You can easily walk to the mall, the Smithsonian museums, lovely neighborhoods, and good food. The junior suite is lovely. There is room to stretch out. The bed was quite comfortable.

A few minor things

The stay was great except for a couple of things. One of our bed sheets were stained however the hotel staff remedied that very quickly. The other was the amount of noise. Early in the morning there were many door knocks so my wife did not get much sleep. Can't say this is the hotels fault but just sharing our honest experience.

Wonderful. Booked second room for daughter so she didn’t have to flop with friends. Tasteful, quiet, comfortable beds, helpful staff in a historic inn very close to heart of DC.

Loved staying here. Super close to the metro, accessible to food and entertainment. Hotel itself was very clean, staff was nice. Only downside was the elevator was down and I couldn’t, for the life of me, figure out how to exit via stairs. But other than that great stay!

So glad we found this historic charming hotel

Absolutely loved this little gem of a hotel. It’s located far enough away from the hub bub near the National Mall, but close enough to walk to the Mall and museums. The decor is inviting, the atmosphere intimate and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Would be great if in-room coffee was available. Otherwise an excellent stay and I will return.
