I was surprised that there wasn't any pads of paper with The Holiday Inn logo or pens in any of the drawers or near the computers. I always have pen and paper but others also commented about the absence of paper and pens. In the scheme of things, this absence is not the biggest issue. The staff at the front desk have been especially helpful. Thank you all for making my week long experience in DC so enjoyable!

Close to White House

We came to see the sights and visit the White House and wanted a hotel close enough to walk, it was perfect for that. The room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint would be, the parking was $50 a night and the spots were so small you could barely open your car door. Also the breakfast was not included even though it was the regular powdered eggs and under cooked bacon, it was $18 per person. These are probably normal prices for the area, but i would've liked to have known up front.
