This was an amazing property all and all, however, the AC in our room ruined the stay. The staff did refund 3 of the 4 night stay and provided breakfast for two mornings so that helped with the issue but I do believe that we were consistently lied to about the maintenance staff “working on the issue”. We were told by 3 different staff members it was being fixed and no one came nor followed up. Finally my husband had to call and we got a maintenance person to come up but all he did was change the batteries which I knew wasn’t the issue. Finally after 3 miserable nights the agreed to move us, the Sunday when most people have checked out. The room we were moved to was amazing and the ac worked. Other than the AC issues and being lied to this really is a great property. Try to avoid staying on the 3rd floor if possible.

Nice hotel in a great location within walking distance of attractions and across the street from a metro stop. Restaurant (via Sophia) had a nice menu. Would definitely stay here again.

I opted to use their valet parking so I wouldn’t have to find parking nearby. They made it very easy. My room was small but very clean, and I had a beautiful view of Franklin Park. The staff was very polite and efficient and made checking in and checking out easier than I expected. I loved having the White House and the Washington Monument within walking distance. (10-15 minutes on foot.) Museums were a very short drive away. I will stay at the Hamilton again when I come back to town.

Unfortunately, I could not give the property 5 stars because starting on our first night there (stayed 3 nights) we had no air in the room. The A/C unit went out and only blew fan air. We first reported it by phone call to the front desk and was told that an engineer had been callled and was going to the rooms to reset the thermostats. By the second night my daughter picked up the window for the outside air to flow in (which I'm shocked even went up and had a screen on it) and long story short it never happened and this having complained by phone calls and in person at the front desk (morning and night). We ended up being comped for all 3 nights and facility fees were waived because, undoubtedly, they never had an engineer coming to any rooms to fix the problem. Had this mishap not happened I can say that the hotel lobby and rooms are very clean and well-maintained. I would definitely stay again as long as I am in a room that has central air conditioning that is working with NO issues or problems.

It was very nice. The staff was attentive and extremely helpful. we were there sightseeing and could walk to many things. We were able to eat dinner out within walking distance and had so many options. I am looking forward to my next trip. We did a lot of walking and used uber, but could easily have caught a bus or got on the train. maybe next trip.
