Tarrytown is a beautiful property, overall, but I can’t say I would stay there again. I went for a weekend of exploring Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown. During check-in, we were directed to park in lot 3 or 4. 3 was difficult to locate at first but we found 4 and it was full. We had to leave the property and loop around (not a huge deal). The issue, however, was when I found lot 3. It had a valet label but enough space to fit through. As I began driving one of the staff started yelling. I backed up and drove toward him and he was INCREDIBLY condescending and just stared as I pulled up. He said we couldn’t park there that night and I explained that’s where we were told to park. He said, “You gotta go down the hill.” I reiterated that’s where we were told to park and most of the other lots were full. He looked at me without acknowledging what I said at all and just said, “Down the hill.” He was so rude and unfortunately set the initial tone for our stay. I had to leave the property, loop around again before finding a spot labeled, “valet” anyway. I went in to the check-in desk and explained it was the only place I could find to park. They said that was fine. A redeeming quality was Alexander- the bartender who was outside serving drinks. He was so kind and personable and even gave drink recipe recommendations. Overall, the grounds are beautiful but there wasn’t as much to explore as I’d hoped. I think next time, I’d rather try to venture to another estate.

An amazing stay! I was in one of the third floor rooms in the King Mansion. The view from the outside deck was great!! I followed the recommendations from the front desk and ate onsite. The food and service were excellent.

Such a beautiful property! The sunset/river views from our balcony were incredible. We did not eat at Goosefeather, but we did have breakfast which was very good. All the staff were kind and helpful. My only complaint was that the balcony area looked like it wasn't cleaned well before our stay. Overall, we had a great experience and would most definitely recommend to anyone staying in the Tarrytown/Westchester area!

Great staff!!

Staff was amazing, the food great. The rooms are clean if a little dated, and the halls need new carpet and paint. Biggest complaint is no business center. I couldn't work from my room on the public WiFi, so i had to sit in the lobby. That is such an easy fix and there should be not only a,space for work but password protected WiFi. It was great otherwise. Oh please get microwaves and update the mini fridge! :)
