The check-in was quick and efficient amd front desk staff were friendly. The parking in front of the hotel was very limited and construction aeoind the front door made it worse. The hotel is showing age and could use some paint and updates. But the room was visibly clean and the bed was VERY comfortable. The water pressure was outstanding. You cpuld rem9ve

The staff was friendly & helpful. The room & beds were clean & comfy-- we slept very well. The first night after we swam in pool, we showered & discovered no body wash in dispenser so we used the shampoo. The towels are not very absorbent yet there were plenty of them. I would stay here again.

I loved it! So relaxing. It has a wonderful view of the beach. I could be laying on the bed or relaxing on the couch and enjoy the view . I loved hearing the sounds of the waves at night. I will definitely be going back soon.

Overall the Ocean Resort is a nice place to stay. It is right by the boardwalk and beach. The staff were nice. They had fresh squeezed orange juice in the lobby which was a plus! We had a couple of issues with smelling marijuana in the hotel, sometimes in our room, but mostly in the hallway. We reported it. Also, someone from maintenance knocked on our door a couple of times, then let himself in before we could answer to check the fire alarm. The next day he was back again to supposedly check a crack in the ceiling. He did not speak English. We reported this too because it seemed suspicious. We did not report a crack and it certainly could have waited until we had checked out.

Bathroom sink backed up during our entire trip. Filthy bathroom walls and dead flies on our bedsheets. I have already complained to the staff but never heard back from the manager. I have already complained to hotels.com chat and am waiting to hear back soon.

The views are beautiful and the staff is great! But there was a major bug infestation of flies. Inside our room and on our balcony. Our bathtub was clogged also and that became gross.

Pros: Very conveniently located. All rooms are facing the beach with no obstruction of other buildings. Staff is friendly. Room was clean. There are enough eating and shopping (gift shops) options. Cons: Parking lot is not big enough to accommodate one car per room. Once the lot is full, the car needs to be taken to another lot (not adjoining). We didn't face this situation but saw many taking their car to the other lot on Friday evening. It's not very convenient Rooms appear old. Specially the electric connection points are old, and phone chargers drop off. There are no USB points. In our room the refrigerator made a sound as if someone is using a small drill :-) There was too much smoke smell in the balcony. Management needs to strictly implement the policy (unless they allow smoking in the balcony).

The room was nice for the price..you couldnt hear your neighbors..the only thing that would have made it better was a higher floor (we was on the 4th) private balcony..better parking..cleaner pool..other then that the stay was great wish we could have stayed longer

The room was indeed on the strip. However, the room had a smell. It could have been cleaned better. I’m glad I brought my own comforter. Location and accessibility to the ocean front is great. Price point is good when you need somewhere to stay. Our sons had a football tournament.
