There's only 1 place to stay within a 10-kilometre radius of central Venzone, so you'll need to move faster than a kid hyped up on red cordial if you want to stay close by.

As close to the heart of the city as you'll get, Hotel Pittini is a terrific place to crash after a busy day of adventures.

If you're still after a place to stay and finding it tricky, you could try the Falkensteiner Hotel Sonnenalpe or the Falkensteiner Hotel & Spa Carinzia. The first is 25 kilometres away, while the second is 30 kilometres away. Alternatively, you could make your way 30 kilometres from central Venzone to the Best Western Hotel La' Di Moret.

Don't blow through before you've checked out the Tower of Vinaio and Church of Villa Santina in Ovaro. Sitting 30 kilometres to the south of Venzone is Udine, a regional hub with a population of 98,000. It's where you'll find some awesome attractions, like Palazzo Patriarcale, Cathedral of Udine and Castle of Udine. The Porticcato di San Giovanni and Piazza della Liberta are a couple more attractions which are sure to offer up some envy-inducing photo ops. Udine has places to stay to suit most budgets and tastes, such as the Astoria Hotel Italia and Ambassador Palace Hotel.
