No air conditioning, overbooked our room and had to move us to an “upgraded” hotel also without working air conditioning. Owners of these hotels do not care as there is a no cancelation/refund policy. Do not book to stay here unless you like to sweat profusely in n a literal sauna and get eaten alive by mosquitoes because they leave all of the windows in the building open as their idea of air conditioning

This hotel is in a good spot. It's walkable to everything. It is a very historic hotel meaning that it's in original form and I appreciated that. I wanted to have a venetian experience. The bed was not so much comfortable but we powered through. I wished the AC that it had worked. We went in the summer, and it was hot, day in and day out. They provided a fan but didn't make too much of a difference.

BEWARE OF BED BUGS! Do not stay at this hotel, they have BED BUGS and we were bitten severely. There is no one at the front desk…ever. The housekeeper checked us in. The property is decrepit and the rugs and furniture worn and dirty. We left after one night, Expedia tried to get our money refunded, but hotel refused. We have photos of the bugs and our bites.

Check-in process. Poor communication for instructions to checking in. There is a crack on the floor which is a hazard. The room is very hot. The portable cooler is not sufficient to cool the room, so the room stayed very hot. It is very close to attractions and eateries. It is quiet. The room is clean and outside surroundings. Not enough toiletries.

Would rate this place a -1000 if given the option! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! It says they have air conditioning, they DO NOT! It’s probably 100+ degrees in there. There is NO ONE available to talk to in person or on the phone. They leave a key for you in a ziplock bag with your name on it on the desk and you’re just left to figure it all out. ZERO customer service whatsoever! When we couldn’t stay there because of how damn blazing hot it was, hotter inside than outside, and smells like a nursing home to boot, we couldn’t get in touch with anyone! We didn’t stay, had to book another hotel and just had to leave the key on the desk. I booked through Travelocity and called them and was on the phone for more than an hour with their customer service and have yet to get my refund for this place that should be considered less hospitable than a hostel! DO NOT book with this hotel unless you want the same god awful experience!

ONLY good thing was the location. “Air conditioning” is just a tiny mobile unit that they don’t event have a vent for the output. We booked the “double deluxe canal room” and it was just two twin beds pushed together. They had nobody at check in desk, phone number didn’t work, and when somebody finally did show up she acted like we were inconveniencing her for needing to check into the hotel.

Avoid it at all costs! To start, they don’t communicate with you before arriving, there’s no one at the reception and you have to call a number to let you in which takes time for them to answer. Hotel smells horrible and it’s not clean at all. Rooms are mostly like a sauna, it’s so hot that we could barely sleep. Overall it was a horrible experience and do not recommend it not even for only a night. It made my visit to Venice a nightmare.

Overpriced for the quality

Hotel is average,good location . But hotels.com overcharge so much . On the day of the arrival the price was $60 a night . I paid $170 . Iris just a fine stay for the $60 .But not for what I paid for .

Nice property. Very small. Smelled old and musty but felt clean. Staff was fantastic, helpful and friendly! Wish there was more food options but Venice is full of food so it wasn't too challenging. One thing i really wish is that there was more decoration or home touches to the place. All around it was fine but my room did feel like a white walled closet and did not help with my mental space while I was there. Could just be a me thing though!

No one was at the reception when we arrived at about 7 pm or in the morning when we needed to check out and pay. Finally, at 10 someone showed up. The room was clean and quiet, and the bed was comfortable. It is very worn down but decent for a night's stay

It was easy access to and from. The room was really small, the bed only with a small pathway around it to the bathroom. My husband is 6' 4" and it just wasn't enough room at all, you couldn't spend time in the room at all because all you could do is lay on the bed.

VERY small room and bathroom but the price was right and location was EXCELLENT! Smell of sewer from the bathroom was not pleasant but wasn’t persistent either. Staff were friendly and helpful!!
