It won't take long to reach the heart of Vares from Hotel Park and Kulin Dvor (although with beds as comfy as these, don't be surprised if you end up running a bit behind schedule!)

Attractions and Hotels Near Vares

But don't just limit your travels to Vares. Take an extra day or two to check out some of the fabulous sights and activities that the wider Bosnia and Herzegovina region offers. The area features some stunning rivers, mountains and sandy beaches. After staring slack-jawed at nature's masterpieces, visit well-known tourist sights like old towns, historic bridges and mosques. Additionally, if you’ve always wanted to go snowboarding, you'll have the chance to in this corner of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Sarajevo is another place where you can kick back and order up some room service like a boss. Located 35 kilometres south of Vares, it's where you'll discover the Latin Bridge and Markale. Sarajevo hotels and accommodations include the Hotel Brass and Octagon. Or, you could consider staying in Jahorina, 50 kilometres to the southeast of Vares, where you can pick from the Aparthotel Vučko and Termag Hotel Jahorina. If you're staying in Jahorina, set aside a little time to check out Mt. Jahorina and Skočine dvosjed.

Mostar can be found 95 kilometres away from Vares and has a population of 100,000. When you're in the region, you'd be mad if you didn't have a squiz at the University of Mostar, the Museum of Hercegovina and the Muslibegovic House.
