The small hotel is in a pretty county setting, down a long tree-lined entry road off a country road close to Tunuyan. It is right next to their own vineyard. The rooms are divided amongst three small one-story buildings. It is relaxed rustic elegance, with rooms with high beamed ceilings. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and will help to arrange outings, and if you need it, taxis. The food is excellent and the restaurant has an extensive selection of Argentine wines, including their own. Although they do not normally have lunch, since most guests have lunch on their outings, the staff prepared a simple lunch for us the one day we rested at the hotel.
It is a beautiful area surrounded by vineyards. Unfortunately there is nothing else and you cannot go anywhere without a car. But if you want to calm down it's the perfect place to be! They have a very good cook and very nice vines...

Disliked: Staff & service
Avoid it, if possible. Top prices+terrible service
The hotel is well located; their value proposition is simple yet attractive: a small vineyard overlooking the Andes. On a personal level, hotel staff is nice, polite and well-intended --they go out of their way to try to please visitors. However, they are overwhelmed and under-trained. Example: the same young lady in charge of check-ins and check-outs, waits tables during breakfast and lunch, cleans the pool, waters the garden and arranges for tourist activities. The result: if you need anything, you'd better arm yourself with patience. The owners seemed to have forgotten that the "boutique hotel" concept is not only about charging high prices but also offering excellent good service. At Postales, you pay top dollars but get sub-par service. You will be much better off at any of the other boutique hotels in the area.
Our stay at this lovely resort was amazing. From the welcoming staff to the view of the Andes we couldn't have been happier. Although the lodge is outside of Mendoza our time here went very quickly. Our hostess arranged for a wine tour and a road trip to the Andes with private drivers. We were also treated to a private cooking class by the chef. This was a highlight of our visit as we prepared some Argentinian cuisine. My husband and I were very impressed with the dinners. The excellent food combined with the staff made for a memorable stay.
