Brilliant hotel in Tromsø city centre. Walking distance to most of the tourist attractions ie Polar museum, arctic cathedral and a short bus ride to the cable car. Breakfast, evening snacks and dinner are provided with booking which is very nice. Just one point to note about dinner: this is served between 18:00 to 20:00, so if you are going on a northern lights tour you will miss the dinner. Furthermore, for a 250£ / night hotel they don't clean your room unless specifically requested at the reception. They cleaned our room once during our 7 day stay, but for some reason only did the bathroom but not the bed. Overall, very nice hotel would definitely recommend.

Room was fine for the price, clean and plug sockets appropriately placed, were needed. Room nice and warm although ours looked onto office block which meant closing the curtains when dressing, not ideal during very short daylight. Food provided was generally good, although not a huge range of food to choose from. All in all good value for money

Overall the hotel was clean, comfortable and in an excellent location. The two small issues I had were that my room wasn’t cleaned once during my 5 day stay, no clean towels, no spare toilet roll. The other was with the room door, they are difficult to lock as you have to tap your keycard to lock the door and sometimes it didn’t work. There was also no safety lock on the inside which made me feel a little nervous as a solo traveller.

Great location, decent meals, awful beds. We had 4 rooms, 8 single beds. 3 had just a box spring and a 2” squishy mattress topper with NO mattress. Worst bed ever had in any hotel 2 had new memory foam mattresses, 3 had an old box spring & mattress. At over $325 a night, expect a decent bed. Also had maid service once in 8 nights.

The included breakfast and dinner buffet, as well as coffee and cake for Fika - was a big part of why we chose this hotel and they didn’t disappoint. It was a great way to save money especially with everything in Tromso being quite expensive. The location was a great spot on the water and facilities included sauna and gym. However, we didn't rate the actual room - was quite old and tv didn’t work well (was glitching and only a few channels no streaming services). There is also no spot in the hotel to see the aurora from e.g. a windowed area or rooftop. Despite the picture of the rooftop/spa - that is only available for an hour payment and booking. Quite disappointing as from our room our view was another building and couldn't even see the sky. This meant we had to keep going outside in the cold to see conditions. The rooms also aren't serviced daily - only every 3 days, which eas weird for a hotel. Overall, a decent option to save money for meal inclusions, but be aware of limited visiability and room inclusions.

Thisnis perfectlunloxates but a budget hotel. They dont mention everything is extra. Ie hot tub costs money. There is no cleaning service for rooms even if you ask. Garbage dows not get picked up on hallways.

Excellent stay at Home Hotel Aurora. Exceptional customer service! They answer your questions on line. At the hotel staff professional, friendly and helpful. Our flight was late and almost lost the dinner time. The front desk Sam was helpful and extremely professional handling my concern. We end uo having an delicious dinner, no better way to start our vacation in Tromso. Thanks for the restaurant cooker and stuff that prepared the meals and the friendly stuff. Thanks for tge wonderful experience in Tromso. We are planning to visit again and looking for to see you guys again
