Ardo exceeded our expectations as far as the property was concerned. The rooms were a little bare with very few toiletries, no couch, and what strived to be an industrial looking ceiling, really was the dividing concrete between storeys. The most important things were all nailed; a diverse team, every one of whom was friendly and helpful. After a 14 hour day, it was nice to be met with a no fuss check in, and a great sense of humour. The rooftop pool and restaurant is like nothing I’ve ever seen before, for this reason we will be back. Thanks team Ardo for an overall lovely stay in TSV.

A couple of minor things: Couldn’t cast iPhone to TV - had staff come and look at it but wouldn’t work. iPad instead of phone in room - couldn’t ring reception for assistance as internet down. No top sheet on bed - some like just doona - but quality resorts generally have top sheet. Breakfast was $45 each and yet signage in dining area said $27. Also had to pay for coffee / hot chocolate on top, so $100 for brekkie was a bit steep. Coffee in room was drip filtered and tasted awful.

Beautiful room and close proximity to Casino and the Strand. However they do not have designated parking for guests. When there is an event on at the Casino we had to park in the staff parking as people attending event/casino parked in property car park. Given the crime in Townsville I found this to be poor plus poor attend of the staff in regard to parking security.

Good hotel in a great location

The Ardo is in a great location. It has a beautiful Rooftop bar and guests are able to use the next door sister hotel Le Ville. The rooms are modern and well equipped. We felt customer service let the hotel down. We discovered that we had been charged twice for our stay having pre-paid through Expedia in October. The hotel then took payment again. The receptionist tried to sort the mistake but needed management approval. We appreciate that management can be very busy but after we had waited 25 minutes we felt this was unsatisfactory and did not show great customer care.

Fab stay, beautiful hotel

Beautiful, new and clean modern hotel in great location with plenty of free parking. Fantastic roof top bar with fabulous views across Townsville and Magnetic Island. Only downside was only two hours free Internet- this is no good if you're travelling from abroad with no free roaming.
