Pleasant stay

We stayed at Royal Iconic at the start of our trip around Japan. The hotel was pleasant but not somewhere we would return to due to size and quality of room, area (pleasant with good transport links but quite business focused), cost of drinks in the restaurant (over £9 for half a pint of Asahi) and general look, feel and vibe of hotel. I feel the hotel was more catered to the business traveller. Staff were friendly and polite, the club lounge nice with good quality drinks, the gym small but ok, but no mats to stretch or do abs and a bit grubby. There were a few good restaurants near by (42nd floor of the shopping mall and the Italian outside the hotel). Overall the hotel was pleasant but wouldn't be somewhere we would return to with such a huge choice in Tokyo.

Great staff, very convenient location with train station nearby. Good A/C for hot days. Room worked - clean, not very big. Had executive lounge - very nice staff - food options could be more varied. Overall good hotel!
