Such a comfortable bed. Shower a little small and low shower rose. What I did notice as soon as walking in to Reception is a quite over powering smell....like smelly socks!!! Receptionist was lovely, but it really smelt very unfresh. But was overall very happy with our accomodation for the night. Thank you.

Loved the room, and the staff were amazing. I would have put quiet, but unfortunately with the road works right outside, I couldn't do that. However, that is out of the Motel's hands. Suffice to say, we would definitely stay here again if we came back to Timaru.

Clean, spacious room. Right on the highway but good sound insulation. Across the road from the park, but calling it “harbour view” would be a bit of a stretch. The reception was a bit off-putting - intense smell of a dog kennel - I did so one very large dog in there when we dropped off the key.

A Decent, well located, Motel.

This is a good motel and we would stay there again if passing through Timaru. The name harbour view is a bit misleading as the hotel doesn't have a harbour view, at least not from the ground floor rooms! However it is only a short walk from Caroline Bay. The centre of Timaru is a little further to walk and it's uphill if that is an issue for you. However there is plenty of parking in town. A particular mention to the lady on reception who was both friendly and helpful. Note that if you are going south you have to drive past the motel and turn right, right, right around the next block thereby approaching the hotel from behind.
