Horrible experience. They gave us the wrong room, the outlets didn’t work, and they charged us extra for air conditioning, but it never worked. No one ever came to check it. The room was dirty and had a bad smell. Overall, a terrible experience — I do not recommend it.

The Puerto Nuevo Baja Hotel and Villas has history and charm, having been built in the 1970s, but it definitely shows its age and could benefit from modernization. The show during our stay was excellent. That said, several issues stood out: the apartment lacked proper air conditioning, the outdoor chairs were broken, the window screen needed repair, and the shower did not drain well, leaving standing water. While housekeeping did a good job, these maintenance problems affected comfort. For the price, I expected more. Considering this is Mexico, the cost felt high—especially when compared to the Hyatt in Tijuana, a four-star property that is actually less expensive and offers a much more modern experience. In summary, it was a decent stay with good service, but the property feels dated, and the value just isn’t there compared to other options

Buffett limited, servers not polite( like robots). Room smell like old wood, dirty sheets, no air conditioning, window saling off, sofa bed not working properly ( had to get a staff member to try to get the sofa bed out and put it back in place). Bathroom door not working ( not locking). To much drama to eat together if you got food from different areas of the hotel. Terrible experience. Very upset. Not going back. I'm very open minded, but this place it's not what they promised. I have more to say, but I think my point is there.
