Even though there are no listed hotels in Thung Nui's centre, there are 3 options within 30 kilometres where you can have a kip (and perhaps hit the mini bar).

Upon waking up in your outrageously cosy bed at Pinnacle Satun Wangmai Hotel and Jakraphat Resort, it won't take long to get to Thung Nui (so long as you don't hit that snooze button too many times!)

It's well known that Aussies just love to have a good time, so consider kicking back a little longer and going to the Kota Kayang Museum and Perlis Grapes Garden in Kuala Perlis, 50 kilometres to the south of Thung Nui. If you're keen to visit Kuala Perlis, consider the Hotel Seri Malaysia Kangar and T Hotel Kuala Perlis. 70 kilometres to the southwest of Thung Nui you'll find Langkawi, which is home to the Century Langkasuka Resort and Century Helang Hotel. If you stay in Langkawi, set aside some time to check out Langkawi Parade MegaMall and the Rice Museum.

Travel 85 kilometres south and you'll be in Alor Setar, a regional centre with a population of 220,000. While you're checking out this neck of the woods, you'll be able to hang your camera 'round your neck and get your tourist on at Yellow Palace, Menara Alor Star and Galeri Sultan Abdul Halim. If you decide to hang out for a while, continue on and check out the vibe at Padang and the Clock Tower. The Holiday Villa City Centre Alor Star and StarCity Hotel Alor Setar are a few of recommended hotel options in Alor Setar.
