It's located 60 kilometres from the renowned city of Erfurt and 180 kilometres away from a second significant city, Wiesbaden.

The serene sounds of nature are waiting for you at Marienglashoehle. It's located just 40 kilometres away, so you needn't be stuck on the road all day. Rhon Biosphere Reserve Center, 35 kilometres away, is another recommended choice.

If you can't imagine a getaway without some live sports action, check what events are scheduled at DKB-Ski-Arena Oberhof. It's likely something will be on while you visit. You can locate the venue 25 kilometres away in Thuringian Forest.
