Upon initially arriving and getting to our room, we were immediately frustrated to find that there was only one bed to share between three people. It wasn’t even a proper double bed — it was two single beds pushed together, which was uncomfortable and unacceptable for the booking.
Later, we went to get a drink using some spare change we had, only to be told that the hotel is card-only throughout, including the bar. We were unable to use our cash despite it being legal tender, which was not made clear beforehand.
The hotel was also extremely loud throughout the night. Noise from neighbouring rooms, both above and next to us, resulted in a very poor night’s sleep. I raised this with the manager, Sebastian, who was not particularly willing to offer any assistance or solution.
The following morning, breakfast was another disappointment. Luke, the restaurant manager, did try his best, but the overall service was very poor. There was no hot food available, and many guests were complaining. Everyone was simply told that “the chef was trying his best”, which didn’t help the situation.
Overall, this stay fell far below expectations due to poor room setup, noise issues, lack of flexibility, and disappointing service. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again nor recommend it to others.
