The Space:

Van Demears Escapes 1 by Tiny Away is a lovely tiny house in Tamborine, only 50 minutes from Brisbane’s buzz, where you swap skyscrapers for Friesian stallions, fluffy Dachshund pups, and forest calm. These holiday homes in Tamborine are perfectly close to the city yet wonderfully peaceful and unique.



Tucked into a forest in South East Queensland's hinterland, this hidden spot offers total privacy with nature on your doorstep. Near Mt Tamborine, Cedar Creek Falls, Broadwater Parklands, Logan River Parklands, Berrinba Wetlands, and Windaroo Lakes Golf Club.



A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.



IMPORTANT NOTE: If you’re booking for a group, we also offer four additional tiny houses (Van Demears Escapes 2, Van Demears Escapes 3 and Van Demears Escapes 4) available with 24 hours’ notice, ensuring you even more cozy holiday homes to enjoy.



Guest Access:

Guests can access the tiny home and its surroundings. The main house is accessible by invitation only.

Van Demears Escapes 1 by Tiny Away is located just 50 minutes from Brisbane in Tamborine, a charming rural town near Tamborine Mountain. The area’s fertile soils and cooler subtropical climate nurture thriving avocado, kiwifruit, and rhubarb farms, and craft breweries with authentic regional flair.



Local highlights include Mt Tamborine, a scenic hinterland boasting a rainforest skywalk, and Cedar Creek Falls, known for its breathtaking waterfalls. Broadwater Parklands offers marine-themed play areas, while Logan River Parklands features a vibrant, colorful playground.



For nature lovers, Berrinba Wetlands provides a peaceful sanctuary. Golf enthusiasts will appreciate Windaroo Lakes Golf Club, which offers a well-established 18-hole championship course set amidst stunning Queensland landscapes—perfect for golfers of all abilities.

Other Things to Note:

- BBQ grill is available

- Wifi is currently not available

- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed

- Smoking is allowed on designated areas of the property

- A dog yard near the main home may occasionally be noisy

- Mobile reception has good signals for Telstra; Weak signals for the rest

- The tiny home is safely set back, away from the dog yard, ensuring privacy

- Breakfast, firewood, and coal are available upon request at an additional cost

- Make sure to turn off the lights, AC, electronics, close windows and doors when leaving

- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge

- Pets are allowed by 24 hrs prior notice, and must be on leash at all times. The full policy will be sent before arrival.

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present in the surrounding areas

- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
