Sure, you can stick with simply exploring central Chiayi, but you’ll be missing out! To get a good feel for the city (and avoid any FOMO), make your way to Taibao — a neighbourhood located 11 kilometres to the west. From Chiayi Airport, it's a journey of 6 kilometres to the northwest. So what are you waiting for? Hop into a taxi, throw your luggage in the boot and get your journey started!

Taibao is a sightseer's paradise. A great deal of the city's best attractions are scattered near this interesting neighbourhood, including Xingang Fengtian Palace and the Ping Huang Coffee Museum.
