While lastminute.com.au has a seriously impressive list of South Korea hotels, you sadly won't find anywhere to crash in or around Taebu.

But don't work yourself into a panic just yet. There are a few places to base yourself in Daegu, which is 40 kilometres away from Taebu. These options include the Hotel Inter Burgo and Grand Hotel.

Attractions and Hotels Near Taebu

Always on the lookout for your next great adventure? The wider South Gyeongsang region has some fabulous things to check out as well. Among South Gyeongsang's stunning natural wonders are its coastal plains. After getting zen in Mother Nature, check out ruins and traditional villages. If the weather is putting on a show (or even if it's not), you could also get out there and have a go at some fabulous activities like mountain climbing and hiking.

Everyone knows Aussies just love to have a good time, so consider kicking back a little longer and checking out the Shineo Bowlingjang and Gimhae Bowlingjang in Kimhae-si, 60 kilometres to the southeast of Taebu. Kimhae-si accommodation options include the Brown Dot Hotel and Color M Motel. 80 kilometres to the south of Taebu you'll also find Geoje, which is home to the Geoje Tourist Hotel and Samsung Hotel Geoje. While in Geoje, be sure to explore Geoje POW Camp and Geoje Okpo Daecheop Ginyeom Park.

Ulsan is home to some 950,000. You'll find it 90 kilometres east of Taebu. A few local attractions worth visiting include the Hyundai Motors Ulsan Factory, the Jangsaengpo Whale Museum and the Ulsan Museum.
