We had a wonderful holiday - location of this house is perfect. 5 mins to shelly beach rock pools which provided hours of fun for our son at low tide. We saw so many sea creatures up close it was amazing. The house itself is fine if you're not after anything too fancy. It's older and could use some TLC but was adequate for our needs & proximity to the beach means small inconveniences don't matter too much. The windows in main room don't open, you can only get fresh air if you open the door leading to balcony. Downstairs lots of windows don't open which is a problem as it's all set up for movie nights etc or rumpus room for kids but lack of ceiling fans/air con makes it not very pleasant. Bedroom downstairs has no screen on window so it is very stuffy even with ceiling fan. Upstairs bedrooms are all good sizes and beds are comfy. But rooms with no air con are hot in summer. There is no screen on sliding door leading to balcony which is a shame as it can't be kept open to catch ocean breeze. Bathroom is great with nice shower/bathtub. Nothing was provided for our stay. We expected at least the min. but had to buy oil, salt, sugar, laundry stuff, tea, coffee, toilet cleaner/paper, hand soap, cleaning products, chux etc. This was disappointing considering we booked in for 2wks. Also lots of cockies - needs fumigating & good clean. We enjoyed our stay but more care given to make guests feel welcome & small things around the house being fixed would've made all the difference.
