Find Sunset Park hotels

Arrived for check in at 3:15 and was told our room was not ready. Seriously? No rooms ready at 3:15 for check in? After calling several people in housekeeping, the clerk, Trinity, finally was able to connect with someone and was given several rooms that were ready. We were given the 1st room. However, upon opening the door, there was still bags of trash, food, etc. on the floor. However, it appeared the bed linens and towels were fresh. Back to the counter, waiting in line again, the clerk was apologetic. Clearly not her fault. She herself, left the front counter, went down the 1st floor hall to check another room, and it was ready. We went in that room. There were NO towels! Back to the front counter. Clerk informed us that housekeeping laundry was backed up with laundry. This, to me, is unacceptable. There has to be a better way for the clerk to assign rooms and know when rooms are ready. If "our room" wasn't ready, why not assign us a room that is. (It seems that we were assigned a room, say, room 400. It wasn't ready for check because of a late checkout. If the room isn't ready, why not give us, say, room 200, which is?? I don't understand that system.) NONE of this was the fault of the clerk. There seems to be poor communication between housekeeping and the front office staff of which rooms are available. And yes, I agree "reserving" a room, but be a little more flexible to make sure that guests can check in when they arrive. Perhaps more staff needs to be hired.

Room was ok. Breakfast buffet was not good. Hotel staff was outstanding and amenities at this hotel were excellent

Internet worked fine. Restaurant and bar service. Staff friendly. Our room was really good. The views are superb!

Nice place. Great friendly staff.

Nice hotel but a surprise $10 parking fee. For an area surrounded by strip malls, it felt like a hidden cash grab.
