Breakfast could have been better but otherwise it was good

They are too cheap to fix the hot tub and pool.

We tried checking in after 3 PM but had to wait for a room to be cleaned. The room was clean enough but the rest of the building had dirty floors. The pool and hot tub were extremely dirty there was a film on the water and there was hair and other debris floating around.

The hotel was being remodeled, but our room was very nice and quiet, faraway from where they were working. It looked like it was going to be very nice when they get it completed, which looks to be fairly soon.

I am from San Diego CA, and I have been a supervisor for places similar to this just spread out in different communities. I loved it here. It was quite, staff was super nice and friendly. It was clean. I would say just more detailed cleaning if anything needed. It is in need of touch ups. But that is pricey. If you are looking for relaxing and are not picky about every little detail then this place is perfect. If you are looking for Booshie go somewhere else. The price was great. The staff was very accommodating even with my day late arrival. They responded to every email I sent them. They are dog friendly. And I even got a free room upgrade to my surprise. If I ever come back to this area I will be staying here. Thank you to the Lodge staff for making my visit to Texas so welcoming, easy and relaxing. One more thing. The home made inf book was the best.
