Hotel options in Suameer's centre are pretty thin on the ground. But if you're up for a short drive, you can easily stay in one of the 5 hotels within 10 kilometres of the centre.

The Van der Valk Hotel Hardegarijp - Leeuwarden and Hotel Princenhof are legendary options if you want to sleep within a short commute of the centre.

You might also like to stay at the Bilderberg Landgoed Lauswolt, which you can find 15 kilometres away. Or otherwise you might prefer the Hotel Restaurant Zee van Tijd, just a distance of 35 kilometres from Suameer. We'd also recommend the Post-Plaza Hotel & Grand Café and the Golden Tulip Tjaarda Oranjewoud. The first is 13 kilometres from downtown, while the latter is 25 kilometres away.

Don't blow through before you've checked out the Groene Ster Golfclub and the Verzets Museum in Leeuwarden. Leeuwarden accommodation options include the Hotel 't Anker and City Centre Guesthouse De Rozenboom. 13 kilometres to the west of Suameer you can also stay at Goutum, home to the Ster Logies Leeuwarden B&B De Roos and Studio New York. Sitting 40 kilometres east of Suameer is Groningen, a regional centre with a population of 180,000.
