It's situated 200 kilometres to the northwest of Rome, the capital city of Italy.

A visit to Volterra, 25 kilometres to the west, is on the itinerary of many travellers. There's plenty of things to keep you occupied here, such as Roman Theatre and Piazza dei Priori.

Spend a few hours strolling along the shore and collecting washed up treasures at Procchio Beach or Cavo Beach.

You don't need to be stuck on the highway all day to witness a bit of nature around these parts. Just 45 kilometres out of Strove, Renai Park is a terrific place to sit back and unwind. Even more tranquil surrounds are waiting for you at Buriano Bridge and Penna Natural Reserve, 45 kilometres away.

Experience the excitement of watching a live basketball game at Palasport Mens Sana, the home turf of the Montepaschi Siena. After you've cheered along with their biggest fans, why not enjoy a drink with them somewhere close by? To reach the stadium, head 12 kilometres southeast to Siena.

Interested in stopping at Monte dei Paschi and Enoteca Italiana? They're not far from the centre of Monteriggioni, 4 kilometres to the east. Alternatively, you could head to Colle di Val d'Elsa. It's 7 kilometres to the west of Strove and known for Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Assunta and Piazza Duomo.

The Castello di Monsanto, Sant'Appiano Antiquarium and Sant'Appiano Parish Church are all close at hand. That said, you wouldn't want to pass up San Lucchese Convent and the Fountain of Fate either.
