We selected this resort specifically for the beach front because we have little ones and it’s so nice staying on beach front property to take to the room for a nap during the day. Come to find out when we arrive to not be able to use the beach. Very disappointed in the amount we spent to be unable to use the beach front property.

Our Stay in Margaritaville was amazing! From the moment we checked in, Curtis, Keisha and Chyna were very informative and upgraded our family to have the best experience on the island. All the staff were corteous, all the bell men were helpful and give the best recommendations! We didnt get all their names but Eric and Jonathan are a star! We’ll definitely come back again!

The property was overpriced for anything you perched from them. You would have to wait for a golf cart for a long time some times you would give up and walk down to the lobby. A golf cart drive must have had a bad day and told my wife and I about how corrupt the owner's were. They paid the employees with a card and none of them were happy. It really put a damper on your vacation.

Margaritaville was the perfect resort for our stay. We loved it so much we extended our stay. St Thomas is a beautiful island and we were able to see and do so much.

Overall we were very disappointed with our stay at Margaritaville. We do not feel it is worth the money to stay here. Our biggest pros and cons are as follows: Pros: -Beautiful landscaping around the resort (very pretty trees, flowers). -Clean room with a nice patio. -Free beach shuttles to Coki Beach which is a nice area nearby. -Fun activities - although con is that about 20% of the activities we wanted to do didn’t even happen where or when they said they would. -Good drinks - although con is that they are extremely expensive unless you order them during happy hour. They did not explicitly tell you when happy hour was - we found out about the happy hour 5 days into our trip. Cons -The beach is our biggest con. It was gross and not useable. In fact, the beach seaweed ruined everything in the lower part of the resort because it smelt so bad. -Location - there is one walkable grocery store that is pretty sketchy and charged way too much for just the basics. -Food - food was mediocre. Not horrible but not worth the money. -Service - most of the servers were mediocre. There were some that were great, but due to their service charge policy (gratuity is automatically added to checks) I don’t think anyone is incentivized to do an amazing job.

Margaritaville was a safe and friendly resort. The staff was absolutely amazing every time you pass one. It’s either good morning good afternoon good night. There’s not a time that you pass the staff and they will not say anything to you. They only had one restaurant but when you walk out the resort on your right hand side, there is another restaurant called last lap They have amazing food and the prices are amazing. Also, it’s easy to rent a car and drive around the island. There’s more food restaurants all over the island especially in the city side. Overall, Margaritaville was great and I will stay there again.

The property is located in a very good location. The terrain is hilly but there are plenty of golf carts available for staff to drive you wherever you like on the resort. Staff was very pleasant to deal with and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. The only issue was the beach at the resort was closed due to excessive seaweed. Coki beach is within walking distance and they also had free shuttles to Coki and Sapphire beaches.

The resort was beautiful, with lush and meticulously manicured landscaping. The only issue I had was with some of the staff at the front desk, particularly with two men who were not the most welcoming. Other than that, the service was good. Another concern was the golf carts; they don’t always arrive at your room promptly. Sometimes they can take up to 20 minutes to arrive, so it’s best to request them at least 20 minutes before you actually need them. The beach was unfortunately filled with sargassum (seaweed), which made it unusable during our stay, but overall, it was still a beautiful place. it unusable during our stay, but overall, it was still a beautiful place.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The area was clean except for the beach which was unusable because of the seaweed. We went to the restaurant and ended up leaving because we were never waited on once we were seated while other groups that came in after us were.

Margaritaville St. Thomas – Disappointing Stay with a Few Perks I really wanted to enjoy my stay here, but unfortunately, several major issues made it hard to truly relax or recommend this resort. Let’s start with the biggest problem: the smell. The property has a beach—great in theory—but we had zero access due to overwhelming algae and seaweed buildup. The smell was absolutely putrid, permeating much of the main areas. It was a gag-inducing, rotten, sulfur-like stench that made it impossible to enjoy meals, drinks, or even just sit outside. Breathing in that air felt unhealthy and downright nauseating. No guest should have to endure that kind of environment while on vacation. Another drawback was transportation. While it was helpful that golf carts are available to get around the steep hills and stairs on the property, they stop running at 11 PM. After that, you're on your own—walking uphill and navigating poorly lit paths, which felt unsafe, exhausting, and really inconvenient, especially for guests who want to experience local nightlife or simply move around later in the evening. Extending cart hours would make a big difference. On a positive note, the infinity pool was a highlight, and the swim-up bar was a fun feature—but it closed at 8 PM, and the pool closed at 10 PM. That’s far from ideal for adults looking to unwind in the evenings. Extending hours could really elevate the experience. I would not stay here again
