It was a really nice hotel and super clean, but the smell from the seaweed that they have yet to clean up was ridiculous to the point where we couldn’t eat at the restaurant or be a part of any event that they have

This is no resort! It has 15 buildings and 1 (YES 1!) restaurant. They have no snack or drink area in the lobby….nothing!

The hotel is nice. Not their fault but hard to eat at restaurant due to the smell from seaweed. Was charged $350+ for an excursion we did not even attend due to us skipping their timeshare presentation. Definitely would stay at different hotel in the future.

Checking staff were great. Everyone else not as friendly as expected. The restaurant food was terrible and expensive. It would have been great if they mentioned the massive seaweed problem. We could not swim and the smell was horrible.

Getting a shuttle could take up to an hour. I extended my stay since Wednesday and they still woke me up three times to tell me I had to leave! Roaches in my room.. called them In but never got anyone even though I spent the whole day in the room whre I had no breakfast and by 2pm, I called a shuttle for the rest. By 2:55 thanks to a room maintace cart that had seen me waiting for so log! God bless that staff! Im 76 years old and, from there on, I walked!

The roof top pool was an excellent amenity on the property. The sargassum had a terrible smell which I understand is not their fault. The property itself is beautiful. Getting to our condo some days was tough because the golf carts would take too long so we ended up walking up the stairs instead.

The Sargassum seaweed smell was not pleasant, but they had multiple people outside working in long sleeve shirts and heavy pants and boots cleaning it up, so they are attempting to do something about it. If you do not like the smell, stay inside. There were plenty of activities for everyone (kids, adults, adults that still act like kids!) to do around the resort. There is a free shuttle to Sapphire beach and Coki beach. You can also walk to Coki easily from the resort. Hands down, Margaritaville helped make our week on the island one of the best experiences of my life, even though we were not at the resort often. Every staff member I interacted with was so courteous and very helpful. If you are in to snorkeling, diving, or just in the market for a good conversation and a rash guard, GO TO THE DIVE SHOP! She is so awesome, very knowledgeable, and tolerated the banter back and forth between my man-child and myself. Plus, all of the iguanas, cats, and chickens were always the highlight of my day! Remember, do not feed the wildlife! Cannot wait to go back.
