The staffing was excellent and all had great funny personalities. It made it feel like home rather then just a business stay place. The property was very maintained and clean. The only downfall is that (mine and the other couple that came with me and my wife), our room always smelled like it was damp and musty, maybe the room had not been occupied in a long time.

The staff was accommodating. But guests should know that the beach isn’t open prior to arriving. Sargassum decomposing smelled horrible. There’s no room service during your entire stay. There’s stray cats all over the property, one almost got inside our room from the balcony. There are also lots of chickens and roosters. The food at the restaurant was bland.

We had to switch rooms two times due to mildew smell. The third room was nice and the staff left us a gift bag for our trouble. The resort itself was isolated, one restaurant and one coffee shop, food was average. We did an evening sailing tour which was awesome, otherwise, if it rains, your stuck in your room. Oh, and there is no cable and slow internet. We won’t stay at this Wyndam location again.

The atmosphere was much less Margaritaville and more just another resort stay. If you are a fan of the Jimmy Buffett vibe, this is not the Margaritaville you want to stay at. The staff was generally warm and friendly, the rooms were nice, the food was ordinary, the music poolside could be anything. You do however get one hour of Jimmy Buffett per day. Since the rooms are mostly on a hillside there plenty of stairs to climb. They do offer golf cart rides to and from your room, but you must be patient at times to have a cart arrive. All parking is at the bottom of the hillside. This is a Westin hotel licensed to use the Margaritaville theme. Perhaps they try harder in-season, we were there during the off season.
