The only issue was the television did not work. We called front desk and they told us service was gone all over the hotel. We were not told this at check in. We are TV people and very disappointed

This hotel listed that the rooms have blackout curtains. This is true, but unfortunately they do not cover the windows completely which makes them extremely ineffective. If this is an important amenity for you, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

The service was exceptional. They delivered ice to our room twice when they were having problems with their ice machines. We were there for 7 nights. Side trip to Twillingate then back to The Sandman for 2 more nights before we return to Ottawa. Rooms are quiet and clean.

I was asked to show ID I've never been asked. As well they took a deposit in case of damage? We're in our seventies not sure what we could damage Beds and pillows were really comfortable

Our room was big, spacious and clean the bed was comfortable as well. Dennys next door for breakfast. Lots of restaurants and shopping in the area. The pool and hot tub area had no chairs and no place to put your things.. VERY small and poorly designed. Other then that everything was good.

Overall an ok stay

Over all, not a bad stay. Just a few things unfavourable. Room was very cold on arrival 15degrees. Ice maker was out of order on our floor, tv wasn’t working and upon calling the front desk for help, there was no technician available to help us, I found the bed too soft (but admitting thats not a fault, just a preference on my part).
