Book South Newport hotels

Arrived at 8:30 PM for a 2 night stay. Went up to our room only to find clothes all over the bed and in the closet and a dirty bathroom. Was told by the front desk that we would have to take a lesser room for the night and that they could get us into the higher tier room that we paid for tomorrow. Next day they told us that we could either get a discount on the first night or move up into the higher room, but not both - which was completely unacceptable. With 30 minutes remaining on breakfast, the breakfast area was empty and disgusting. They were out of almost everything and there was nobody present to clean or stock anything. Though the rooms were technically nonrefundable, they did agree to let us check out early and refund us for the second night, and we went elsewhere. The pictures online totally misrepresented the condition of this hotel. We chose it for the high ratings, but the most recent favorable ratings are certainly not consistent with our experience.

Room was clean, staff was polite and welcoming. Breakfast was good and fresh.

Took a chance on this property, given only 7 reviews on this platform. Happy to advise we we NOT disappointed! Great staff/local family run. Very friendly, and responsive. Room was clean, beds were comfy, shower was hot. Great price, safe area, would stay again.

Room was clean and had everything I needed. Staff was fantastic. Especially Elizabeth at the front desk. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and capable. Breakfast eggs were good. Milk was cold and coffee fresh all day. I had terrible neighbors who threw a party in the room next to me and the staff responded quickly and firmly to remove the offenders. Patio area was quiet and safe. I will stay here again when I return to visit family.
