It won't take long to get to central Sonmaji from Hotel Susung and Hotel The Palace Daegu (although with beds as comfy as these, don't be surprised if you wind up running a little behind schedule!)

Attractions and Hotels Near Sonmaji

But don't just limit your sightseeing to Sonmaji. Take some time to experience some of the awesome sights and activities that the wider South Gyeongsang region has to offer. Don't even think of heading home without visiting a few of the region's incredible coastal plains, forests, rivers and lakes. Ruins, traditional villages and old towns are also worth a look around. Additionally, if you’ve always wanted to go mountain climbing and hiking, you'll have the opportunity to in this corner of South Korea.

Caviar or corn dogs? However you prefer to roll, you'll sure to love a trip to Daegu, 30 kilometres away. With Sun Sports Plaza and Dacos Bowlingjang to check out, you're not gonna be bored. The Novotel Ambassador Daegu and Crystal are some of the great short and long-stay options here. 45 kilometres to the southeast of Sonmaji you can also stay at Kimhae-si, home to the Brown Dot Hotel and Color M Motel. Shineo Bowlingjang and Gimhae Bowlingjang are up there with the most popular places to experience while in Kimhae-si.

Ulsan is home to around 950,000 people. It's situated 65 kilometres east of Sonmaji. A few local attractions that are well worth your time are the Hyundai Motors Ulsan Factory, the Jangsaengpo Whale Museum and the Ulsan Museum. There's all sorts of hotel options available in Ulsan.
