If you're a proud carrier of the wanderlust gene (no duh, you're here right?), then you'll want to explore more of the North Jeolla region. The area features some amazing coastal plains. After staring slack-jawed at nature's masterpieces, check out well-known tourist attractions like old towns, fortresses and cathedrals. Fun-loving types can also have a go at popular pursuits like snowboarding, skiing and cross-country skiing.

It's well known that Aussies are pretty relaxed, so consider kicking back a little longer and going to the Jeonju Zoo and the Sori Arts Center of Jeolla in Jeonju, 30 kilometres to the southeast of Songho. If you'd like to spend a few nights in Jeonju, consider the Jeonju Tourist Hotel and Benikea Jeonju Hansung Tourist Hotel. 85 kilometres to the southeast of Songho you'll find Namwon, which is home to the Chunwangbong Pension and The Suites Hotel Namwon. If you're staying in Namwon, be sure to explore Namwon Recreational Forest and the Namwon National Gugak Center.

Unless you're planning to pitch a tent at Gunsan Airport, it's probably a good idea to book some accommodation. The Western Hotel is pretty close by, or you could always travel into Songho's centre. It's 16 kilometres away.
