Although there isn't any accommodation in Sion's centre, there are 14 options within 30 kilometres where you can hit the hay (and perhaps hit the mini bar).

Check out Relais & Châteaux La Bastide and Le Prieure. They're about as close as you'll get to the heart of Sion.

You may like to have a look at some alternative accommodation spots, such as the Le Relais du Bastidou or the Hotel Les Comtes De Pardiac. Located 20 kilometres west of Sion, it's where you'll discover the Church of St. Bartholomew and Gustav Eiffel Bridge. The Hotel Aliotel and Hotel Aireco are a few of the great accommodation options here. 35 kilometres to the northeast of Sion you can also stay at Cassaigne, which is home to the Hôtel La Ferme de Flaran and L'Auberge de Larressingle. While in Cassaigne, set aside some time to visit Condom Cathedral and the Musee de l'Armagnac.

Pau is situated 60 kilometres away from Sion and has a population of 83,000. When you're in the region, you'd be crazy if you didn't have a gander at Beaumont Park, Palais Beaumont and the Musee des Beaux-Arts.
