Book Silveiros e Rio Covo hotels

There were two flies in my room and I did not have a room with a balcony so I was concerned about how/why they were in there. The overhead shower did not work, only the hand spray. And lastly, the walls are paper thin and I could easily hear all the activities taking place in neighboring rooms. There is not a restaurant in the hotel, you must go to a neighboring hotel if you want to grab a bite. Also there are not really any restaurants in the neighborhood or nearby areas. The surrounding neighborhood appeared safe but there is really nothing there.

No water in room, tea/coffee facilities in room virtually non existent and despite advertising one, there is NO AIRPORT shuttle - They actually have to book one for you with a 3rd party company and require a minimum of 9 HOURS NOTICE.

Front desk staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good, although ran short of a couple of items.

We were doing the Caminho - it was a little distance off the trail but easy to get back to. Breakfast menu was very good.

I had made the booking for two rooms for a business trip, unfortunately plans changed due to a family bereavement, the app would not allow me to change the booking dates, I contacted the Hotels.Com contact centre and explained the situation, they attempted to call the property as the revised dates I required were available. The hotel front desk did not answer and the contact centre advised they will ensure the date will be changed for both rooms, I received an email confirming the change was made after they made contact with the hotel front desk two days later. I then kept receiving emails asking how my check in was on the original dates which I asked to be changed, worried I called the contact centre again, they reconfirmed the dates were amended for both rooms. Upon arriving to the property, the hotel advised they only made a change to one of the booking dates and classified the second booking as a "No Show" for the original dates. I had to waste another hour explaining the situation, providing email confirmations and evidence. This was not acceptable as it took one hour to attempt checking in with both rooms which were already prepaid. I was advised by the duty manager to take the matter up with Hotels.Com - very poor experience...

The place was clean and quiet, bar and restaurant were decent, airport shuttle was quick and fantastic!
