Attractions and Hotels Near Sheridan

But don't just limit your sightseeing to Sheridan. Take some time to experience some of the spectacular sights and activities that the wider Southwest Montana region offers. The area is known for having amazing rivers. After staring slack-jawed at nature's artworks, hit up well-known tourist sights like farms. More active travellers can also have a crack at popular pursuits like snowboarding and skiing.

Looking for things to do? Kick back and spend the day discovering the Beaverhead Golf Course and Clark's Lookout State Park. You'll find them in Dillon, 45 kilometres to the southwest of Sheridan. Or, you could stay in Three Forks, 70 kilometres to the northeast of Sheridan, where you'll find the Sacajawea Hotel and Lewis & Clark Motel of Three Forks. While in Three Forks, set aside a little time to check out Gallatin River and Missouri Headwaters State Park.

Get a ride 70 kilometres east and you'll find Big Sky, a regional centre with a population of 2,000. While you're checking out this neck of the woods, hang your camera 'round your neck and get your tourist on at Soldiers Chapel, the Big Sky Community Park and the Historic Crail Ranch. The Big Sky Golf Course and Big Sky Town Center are a couple more sights that are sure to offer up some photo ops. There are a number of great hotels available to book in Big Sky.
