Mount St. Louis Moonstone can be found 11 kilometres away in Coldwater. This wonderful attraction is well worth the trip.

Is there anything more relaxing than listening to the sounds of the ocean beside the water? Visit Wasaga Beach Provincial Park or Blue Mountain Beach for a fabulous day out.

Explore beyond Severn and you'll come across some unique natural attractions. Just 30 kilometres away, Georgian Bay Islands National Park is a pleasant place to get out into the fresh air. We also recommend Hardy Lake Provincial Park, 30 kilometres away from Severn.

Head 50 kilometres south to Barrie Molson Centre to attend a thrilling live game of ice hockey. Located in Barrie, the stadium is the home of the Barrie Colts, so kit yourself out in navy, yellow, red and white and get ready to cheer!

Leave a plume of white powder in your wake as you dash down the trails at Blue Mountain Ski Resort. Powder fiends should also load up their gear and head to Snow Valley Ski Resort.

Venture outwards and find out what's going on in Cumberland Beach, 10 kilometres to the southeast. Many travellers come here for the Casino Rama and the Couchiching Golf and Country Club. Alternatively, Ramara is 17 kilometres to the southeast of Severn. Stop at this locality for easy access to the Orillia Opera House and the Leacock Museum.

Spend a while visiting Orillia Square Mall, the Hawk Ridge Golf and Country Club and Scout Valley. These attractions are all pretty close to the centre of Orillia, 18 kilometres to the southeast. If you're keen for more, the OPP Museum and Sunshine and Company ought to also be on your to-do list.

With some planning, making your way to Pearson International Airport (YYZ), the nearest airport, shouldn't be too difficult. It's approximately 120 kilometres south of the centre of Severn.
