Get your index finger at the ready. There's only 1 hotel within a 10-kilometre radius of central Sésamo, so if you want to stay close by, hop to it!

When the coffee wears off and you can't even deal with one more tourist attraction, snuggle up for an afternoon nap at Los Trobos. It's about as central as you can get in Sésamo.

Still trying to book a room in the area? The Hotel Celuisma Ponferrada and the Hotel Las Doñas may just be what you're looking for. Popular pastimes in this corner of Spain include rock climbing, so don't be afraid to have a crack!

Beer or champagne? However you prefer to roll, you're bound to enjoy a trip to Villafranca del Bierzo, 19 kilometres away. With the Prada a Tope Winery and the Bodega del Abad to check out, you won't be bored here. Some of our recommended Villafranca del Bierzo accommodation options include the Hostal Tres Campanas and Hostal Restaurante Méndez "El Guardia". 20 kilometres to the south of Sésamo you'll also find Ponferrada, home to the El Castillo and Hotel Novo. While in Ponferrada, set aside a little time to check out Plaza del Ayuntamiento and the Museo del Bierzo.

The hotel is situated right above the town (kinda on the outskirts), which means that it's got free and ample parking, feels very in touch with the natural surroundings (even though it's next to the highway, which you'd never know because it's so quiet), and is spacious throughout. The highlight of the stay was the pool/sauna area! Highly recommend! There are two pools and a sauna, all of which are similar to the kinds you'll see at other Parador properties, and are wonderful. Use of the facilities is included in your hotel fee, which isn't always the case at Paradors, so I highly suggest taking advantage of it while you're there. Not many eateries around, however, so you'll likely have to go into town if you want a meal outside of the hotel. We did breakfast, which was a bit expensive for what you got (~20 euros per person), but convenient and fine. We stayed here for three days while we explored the area and took half day trips out to other spots, and it was a perfect hotel for that, too. Finally, the price of the room per night was more than affordable for what you got. I recommend staying here if you're in the area.
