A little underwhelming

This was a nice resort but i didn't love it. Not really sure why. Lets start with the positives. The staff is incredibly nice. The room was nice and fairly roomy. They really catered to people with dogs which was really cool. Its right in the main tourist area, you have to walk up a steep driveway to get to town. They do offer a free golf cart ride which was a nice touch. The in room bar and snacks were good quality. My biggest negative was for the money we had zero view. Literally a view of a bush, when you pay over $400 for a patio room, you expect some sort of view. This was really disappointing. They moved us to a room with a better view the second night, that room was smaller but did at least have something to look at. We didn't eat dinner at the resort, the menu was really not my style. The bar was nice but craft cocktails were a little bizarre. So in summary, it was nice but i was expecting more.

Fantastic four night stay “off season” in a creekside room—quiet, excellent staff and service; on site restaurant Salt Rock has inventive flavors, creative spins on southwest cuisine, bartenders are excellent. Convenient location in Uptown. Will definitely stay again.

Property property was beautiful included a pool with a view and a lovely hot tub. We did not eat in the restaurant but enjoyed drinks at the bar. Everybody was very friendly and close to all.

Great location and nice resort. Wished there was a ramp versus steps when going dow hallways to rooms. Hard to navigate with heavy suitcases. Would definitely recommend letting the bell hop take your bags to your room. All in all would come back.

Valet parking was a PLUS! Definitely need a car going around Sedona for hiking and getting to the restaurants it makes it easier! Room was very clean the drinks at the bar were really good! Bartender was really great at his craft! All in all this was a great trip for my husband and I to escape and unwind for a bit.

My wife and I stayed here for 5 days and it was amazing. The location was excellent, right in the heart of Sedona. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Only negative was that we had noisy upstair neighbors for two nights who would walk at all hours and we could hear their footsteps.

The service was excellent from start to end. Food and beverage quality was very good. Only a few very small issues - used glassware was left in hallways for over a day. Coffee not replaced daily

The Amara resort was hands down my favourite place! Everything was beautiful, the staff was friendly and chatty and so willing to take care of us. We went straight to the spa and enjoyed the best massages ever.. thanks to Sandra and Kimberly for that and a relaxing facial from Annie.. we were both so blessed you had time for us when we arrived! We also enjoyed Lydia’s waitressing company at dinner and breakfast , she had some tips of things to do and we did enjoy them! One day Amara we hope to be back and we hope it’s just as fabulous when we return! Keep up the good work
