The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was just ok for the price, bathroom floor tile grout in need of repair, literally loose large pieces of grout scattered around the floor. Its definitely an ok place to stay, and its the only game in town for "downtown" West Seattle.

Our room was very dirty, especially the bathroom, smelling strongly of mold and stale cigarettes in room and bathroom. The bed was very stiff and sagging in the middle and the sheets were stained, traffic noise was very loud. We did end up leaving and going elsewhere after about an hour, causing us to have to pay for 2 hotels that night. The girl at the front desk was very nice but did let us know there is no refunds.

I wasn't too sure when I first pulled up to the Grove; however was pleasantly surprised & really enjoyed my stay. If you have a vehicle with you this is the perfect place to stay as there is easily accessible parking at the property. I really enjoyed staying in West Seattle. It was a quick drive to downtown & a quick drive to view the city skyline. California street which is just up the road is full of little shops & restaurants. The room was clean. The property was quiet & I surprisingly slept quite well during my stay. Would highly recommend!

The room was clean and spacious. The bed was too hard for us - a memory foam topper would have been great. No microwave, but there is one in the office. Like the area around the hotel.

The Grove West Seattle Inn reminded me of family road trips back in the '60s and '70s. My room was plain but clean. The bed was a bit lumpy and squeaky. The lighting was a bit awkward as there was none near the desk, but then again, I didn’t spend much time in the room and I wasn't’t here on business. The staff was friendly, but if there was breakfast available, I was not made aware of it. I would stay here again.

Breakfast minimal. Door deadbolt nonfunctional. Shower curtain ineffective. On plus side, location very good. And RapidRide bus service downtown very good.

We have stayed at The Grove when visiting Seattle for several years. Their location is convenient to nice shops, cafes, restaurants and groceries, as well as visiting family nearby. The staff here is great - welcoming and helpful. The room and public areas are clean and comfortable. We plan to stay there the next time we are in Seattle.

The heating system did not work. It flashed an error code all night long. It was like having a lighthouse in our room. The refrigerator was loud. It was like being in the middle of a highway. The value of the stay was not equivalent to the price of the stay. Would not recommend.
