No clarity on how/when to use credits

Our stay at the Charter was good. The rooms were clean, staff was friendly. At check-in, we were advised of an "Urban Fee" of $25 USD that would be charged on my card but that it could be reimbursed as a credit if we took advantage of the hotel dining amenities....Sounds good, we will use it for breakfast in the morning and have the $25 taken off our bill.....not the case! What they didn't tell us is that you had to use the credit that same day (for a one night stay), so they essentially took our $25 and we couldn't get a reimbursement/credit for it. The front desk said they had no way of "reversing" the fee so that we could use it for breakfast (we hadn't even checked out at this point). Better clarity on when we could use the credit would have been greatly appreciated, instead of leaving us feeling like we were being taken advantage of for $25.

The roof top bar was closed for a “private party” this was a selling point for me when I booked because we were only 1 night in Seattle. Shows that money talks. The 25$ voucher was a joke and only covered the taxes on the resort fee.

Miscellaneous Room Charges

I did not like the fact that there was a refundable $100 charge to the room per day. I also didn’t like the mandatory $25 resort fee charged daily to my room. Not happy at all about that. The room was very comfortable although I was not crazy about the parking garage view. The bathroom was the best. Water pressure and temperature were both very good.
