Not what you expect from Marriott

This was a very special couples trip where I made previous arrangements and previous requests. I had three requests to be away from the elevator to have one of the rooms that had the Riverview and for a late check out. Upon checking in, they said they received two out of three of the request and conveniently missed the request for the riverfront room. This is the only reason I booked this hotel out of the many that are in Savannah on the riverfront. I even pulled up my request since they told me they confirmed they received the other two request I don’t know how that could have conveniently been forgotten and they said they had no other rooms to upgrade and honestly didn’t look like they were willing to help. One of the managers was right next to the girl checking us In And no one offered any help or even an apology. A couple more times having to go down to the front desk everyone was very unfriendly. I definitely give a zero for customer service. The rooms were OK just a typical room. It was definitely not the comfort of a typical Marriott mattress And mildew found in the bathroom and shower area. No fan in the bathroom and the second light around the bathroom mirror did not illuminate. This hotel would be at the very bottom of my list to stay at again for the price that was charged. Very disappointed.

We had a riverfront room which was beautiful. the room was lovely however was very loud though as we were near the main lobby. The room service came in plastic stuff which wasn't great and certainly not eco- friendly.

House Keeper

Maid came to clean up room. Did make up the beds but didn’t leave wash cloths and fresh towels. Old towels were left in there and her cleaning spray bottle left on the bathroom counter. Glass was clean in the shower but not the floor of the shower.

Hotel is on riverfront so location was wonderful. Everything about the hotel itself was excellent. They charge $40 per day to park your car on their property which I feel is way to expensive.

False room advertisement

My only problem i had is i booked my room for a balcony room outside over the river which there were 3 to 5 left when i booked and when i checked in i was told they were out of those so they gave me a indoor balcony room. Now i had to go all the way downstairs and outside to smoke and i really wasnt trying to do all that.
