This Cozy Saugerties A-Frame retreat is ideal for a family or couples’ escape year 'round. A charming 2-bed, 2-bath, A-Frame home sits on a secluded, wooded, 1-acre lot with wonderful views of the Catskills Mountains.

Boasting a massive 24’ x 16’ outdoor deck, you can enjoy your morning coffee or take in some nighttime star gazing. This rustic home also provides a fully equipped kitchen stocked with cookware, flatware, utensils & spices! There is no Microwave…also amenities such as Free Wi-Fi, 3 Smart TVs, an outdoor gas BBQ grill as well as a Propane Fire Pit…. All making this, the place to be for your next retreat. (AC & Heat).

I do allow Pets. 1 Dog - 20lb Max / THERE IS A PET FEE.

Located right down the block from Opus40, this amazing Stone Sculpture Park hosts several art and musical events throughout the year and is the perfect place for an afternoon excursion.
A short drive into the Town of Saugerties, gives you a wide variety of places to shop and explore. Plus there are many Cafes and restaurants where you can grab a bite.
You’re also just a 10 minute drive to Woodstock too!

As a friendly reminder for those staying in Spring / Summer / Fall…. You’re gonna be in the country. There are critters. That's part of the beauty of why you're visiting right? So, if you're going to roll around in the leaves or grass… walking in the woods and being out in the yard, then I highly recommend you take off your clothes put them in the dryer and run for 20 minutes, and then do the Hudson Valley / Saugerties foreplay, check each other all over !

Absolutely fantastic cabin. Nice and quiet. It’s neatly tucked away from enough people to make you feel like it is a mountain retreat, but close enough to where you can still have food delivered. The sunsets are breathtaking, and sunrise is such a joy in the upstairs bedroom. As a carpenter, I fully appreciated the beauty of the natural wood of this A-frame. As an audiophile, the sound system was a pleasant surprise. The wood cabinet speakers paired with the surround sound speakers, give you an amazing experience in that space due to the beautiful high ceilings. Very clean and super comfortable. There is great view from nearly every window. I love this place, and could keep going on and on about what’s to love. It was literally, in all honesty, the best vacation I’ve taken. The atmosphere is wonderful. The cabin is perfect; from the decor to the comfy bed. The host IS EXCEPTIONALLY excellent. Friendly and a great communicator. This was my first Vrbo rental and Nick made it is a breeze.

This was one of my favorite places to stay! The house is exactly as pictured and provided us with the perfect Upstate getaway from the frantic energy of Brooklyn. There wasn't a single item that we needed, that wasn't already there. You rarely find Vrbo's stocked as well as this house. From the deck's to the surround sound, we were thoroughly satisfied. The one caveat was the amount of ladybugs in the bathroom and by the doors. Obviously a house in the woods would have bugs but I would suggest wearing slippers indoors to avoid stepping on any. Other than that, I had a blast and would love to rebook this house in the future for more getaways.

absolutely incredible home and property! Nick is one of the most thoughtful hosts I've had in all my years doing vacation rentals since the early years of the online market boom. the home was clean, inviting, and had everything you need for an extended stay. he was proactive with all communications and made sure we were set up to have a good time in the area. I wish we could have stayed another night -- we will definitely be coming back!

We had an excellent stay at A-Frame of Mind! The property was beautiful, spotless, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. Cute, comfortable place to be home base for anyone to explore this Catskills. Easy to get into Woodstock and other small towns. We were glad to sit and read on the deck when we had a break from wedding activities. Thanks to Nick for getting umbrellas when we say the forecast - carrying umbrellas meant the rain held off at the most important parts of the weekend.

We spent an idyllic 3 days at A-Frame of Mind. The house is very comfortable, and flooded with light. It is located on a quiet road and surrounded by trees. We loved walking down the road to Opus 40 and being within a close drive to Kingston and the Sojourner Truth State Park.

Wonderful home

House was in a prime location about a ten minute drive to the downtown and other local attractions. We were looking for a “in the woods” feel and this was a great mix of convenience and seclusion. The back deck is really nice. If traveling with small children who are used to sleeping in dark rooms, I do suggest bringing travel black out shades for the large windows in both bedrooms. We found the downstairs bedroom to be easier for our kids.

Comfortable, private little getaway

Loved the place! Very nice location in the woods, with no visible neighbors and a barely visible road through the trees. Plenty of space both inside and out on the decks. AC works great with multiple nice mini-splits. Easy to get to the nearby towns. Opus 40 down the road can't be missed, it's incredible.

Nick deserves more than 5 stars.

Nick was stellar in his communications. He was so quick to respond, always so helpful and considerate. The property worked very well for my needs though it was a quick two night stay with rainy weather so I did't get to enjoy the outside space.
