Don't shoot through before you've checked out the Namwon Recreational Forest and the Namwon National Gugak Center in Namwon. If you want to visit Namwon, consider the rates at the Chunwangbong Pension and The Suites Hotel Namwon. 75 kilometres to the south of Sanggae-ri you can also stay at Gwangju, home to the Holiday Inn Gwangju and Ramada Plaza Gwangju. Whether you're shooting through or staying in Gwangju, be sure to explore the Chosun University Museum of Art and May 18 Democracy Square.

Sitting 100 kilometres from Sanggae-ri, Cheongju has a great range of facilities, shops and popular apartments, including the Grand Plaza Cheongju and Geogi Motel. The Cheongju National Museum and the Cheongju Early Printing Museum are a few of the tourist attractions nearby Cheongju.
