Here's how my experience at Villa Verde went:
Check- in:
- Arrived at 2:30p, was told I couldn't check in until 3p because the room wasn't ready, not a problem.
- Came back at 3:15p, was told they needed a few minutes more.
- Came back in at 3:30p, was told they needed until 4p.
- At 4:15p was told my room was ready (had dinner reservations at 6p, still needed to shower, change & get an Uber)
- The staff did offer me a soda or coffee, but neither was going to help me not having to change my plans nor give me time to freshen up before meeting friends at dinner. However, checking in at the stated/published check-in time would have acceptable.
Room:
- Great closet space, no hangers
- Room phone didn't work, so had to go down to the desk or call from my mobile
- Only sheets available on the bed/room, had to run down to the front desk to ask for a blanket
- Desk chair really needs to be replaced, in super shotty condition
- Room door is hallow with just a lock on the handle (like your bedroom door at home), didn't seem very secure
- You can hear everyone in the hallway clearly
- The room seemed clean
- TV remote didn't fully work, had to use a mobile remote on my phone; TV kept cutting out while I was watching it
Bathroom:
- As I stepped into the shower noticed the wall was in need of repair
- No stopper in the bathroom sink to prevent things from falling into the drain
- A sound of something like a radiator went on all night from the bathroom
The front desk staff was nic
