In all honesty, there were a lot of reviews that made us slightly hesitant towards this hotel. When we got there, however, all of this dissipated and we discovered an amazing hotel. It close proxemity to the beach is it's top selling point, with the walk there being less than 5 minutes. We were greeted with friendly faces, helpful tips about travelling around the island, and overall good vibes. The room was perfect for what we needed. The sheets were clean, so was the bathroom. A lot of people mentioned smelling humidity, we never had that problem. It was exactly what we needed: a place to sleep and shower while we explored the island. The parking was fairly easy, with a spot always open by the side of the hotel. Everything is extremely walkable, with various restaurants and grocery shops next to the hotel (including one that's open 24 hours!) We always felt safe and welcome, and all the guests were kind, respectful and very friendly!

We had a wonderful stay At Wind Chimes. It has great character and the location is superb. We stayed in a King room. It had a small kitchen stocked with everything you would need to cook a meal. Very nice surprise. The staff was great at offering recommendations for walkable restaurants and shopping. Once through the gate, you feel as if you're in a self contained small resort. Note, the bar is no longer operating. We went and got some drinks and enjoyed them by the bar. We got to meet some really nice people from all over. The beach is a short walk. They'll even let you use beach towels. Highly recommend At Wind Chimes if you are looking for a historic hotel with loads of character.

Other than great staff, the hotel was awful. The WiFi doesn’t work, there was no outlets in the bathroom, along with no solid door to the bathroom, you could hear everything. There was a literal window that I can see through while in the bathroom, along with mold on the ceiling. I was sad about no blow dryer or fridge, but even more disappointed that not one night did we have dry walls in the bathroom or main room due to the slotted shower door. It made everything uncomfortably wet and our clothes never dried. With one blanket and three pillows for two people for 7 days, it was a good location but at the cost of losing our basic necessities. Overall, bathroom privacy and WiFi were the two greatest challenges that we had the entire time we were there.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I can't agree with many of the criticisms other reviewers had -- there were always 2-3 staff on hand to help, the tv always worked, the room was in good condition. Yes, it's worn around the edges but they work hard to keep everything clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. There is street noise but nothing that gave us trouble. Superb location to beach and dining/drinking options. Never did we not feel safe in the neighborhood. Thank you, Wind Chimes, for a fantastic stay for our vacation!

Upon arrival we were greeted by Ricardo. He was very pleasant and guided us to the nearest restaurants within walking distance. The property is so cute, cozy, clean and safe. The airport is literally 10 mts away. Definitely recommend this place if you just want a bed to have a good night sleep after being at the beach or out all day.

I love Puerto Rico and had a wonderful time during my visit, but unfortunately, our hotel experience fell short. I don’t usually like to complain, but there were a few issues that impacted our stay. First, our room and bathroom were extremely small, making it uncomfortable at times. The pillows were old, and the towels had noticeable stains, which was disappointing. We also didn’t have room service for four days, which felt inconvenient. Additionally, the bathroom door wouldn’t close properly, and we experienced a few instances without warm water. While I enjoyed my time in Puerto Rico, I hope to find a better hotel experience on my next visit.

Put our room service sign out multiple times and they came the last night we were there Very sandy in room due to beach time which was expected they should have small brooms in rooms to sweep up. Our air conditioning leaked water very bad so when you got up to go the bathroom in the night you had to step through water

The only thing I would say is the room walls are paper thin so you can hear everything. Other than that I loved it here very clean and lovely people at the desk. Ac works great. It’s so close to the beach and restaurants. If ur traveling to explore San Juan it’s a perfect place to stay because it’s in the middle of everything. It’s a 10-15 drive to everything. From old San Juan to the airport. Definitely staying there again if I go back❤️
