Staff very nice. Recently renovated. Checked out albums and played in the room. Room great blend of historical and modern. Minor weird issue with motion sensor light couldn’t be defeated. Maint came up and fixed right away.

Property was recently renovated but the property is very old. I liked that they kept certain aspects of the hotel. Our windows were frosted so we could not see out which I wasn’t a fan of. Room was huge!

We could not have asked for a better stay when it came to accommodations. The room was exceptionally clean, everything was beautiful! Love the bar downstairs. Love the Paris baguette. Loved how Starbucks was walking distance across the street. The valet guys were absolutely amazing. The front desk workers were extremely nice! I would have to say it was probably the best San Antonio trip we’ve had, and we have had a lot! My only complaint is Valet parking for overnight is absolutely ‘outrageously overpriced’. $60 to valet a car plus tip is insane but… That’s my only complaint. I have absolutely nothing to complain about as far as the hotel goes.

Absolutely gorgeous new hotel in the heart of downtown. Very attentive and friendly staff across the board. Wonderful drinks and light dinner in their beautiful lobby bar where everyone went the extra mile. We'll come back to San Antonio JUST to stay here.

What a beautiful hotel! It has been a while since we stayed at the Gunter, and it has been completely remodeled. Everything was comfortable and clean. The coffee/tea kettle was something new, as well as a record player and a jazz album.
