Broken A/C was reported and was not fixed Clogged sink drain Room showed its age with unpleasant odor in hall A different room was not offered Occupants in neighboring room were banging on their door and arguing in the middle of the night and hotel staff was slow to respond and ineffective at resolving the situation Embarrassing that this is an offering to visitors of this city

There's construction going on around the hotel so getting into the valet area was a little bit confusing. Checking in was fine. Front desk person wasn't very friendly, however the check out staff was very nice and I felt comfortable leaving feedback directly to them. The downside was one bed was very squeaky causing for a less than good night's rest. We were able to get a late check out and therefore had time to enjoy the breakfast buffet. Wait staff was great. The pool areas was very clean and inviting. Overall the hotel is very quiet and it great shape considering how old it is. I would definitely stay here again.

It was fun to stay at a historic hotwl. The property is preserved well. Service was excellent and location is wonderful. Unfortunately the bed was not comfortable and it was difficult to keep the room cool enough at night which is understandable in an old building and I was on the 4th floor (top) of the older building , but i didn't sleep well.

I have seen some reviews as of late, saying do not valet park, to expensive, to many choices nearby. I disagree, the parking is super convenient and considering the large amount of construction going on at the Alamo, on top of a rainy long weekend, worth the $.
