Book San Andros hotels

We had a wonderful two weeks in January at SeaGlass Villa 1 on Andros Island! If you are looking for a quiet beachfront location you will love this. We enjoyed the ocean breezes flowing through the villa day and night. The bed was very comfortable and the villa had everything we needed. The shower had good pressure and quick hot water. We cooked at home all but 2 evenings when we went out to dinner. Restaurants are few and require pre-planning since they are not always open, but our host Zona was helpful with that. We explored Nicholls Town, Conch Sound and Morgan's Bluff on bike. We kayaked along the shore one day and also snorkeled from our beach, though there will be more to see if you go out to the reef. Zona took us on his boat for 1/2 day and we really enjoyed that. He was always available if we had questions or needed something, and as a lifelong resident he shared a lot of the history of Andros Island and the Bahamas with us. We ejoyed spending time with him.We had time to read books and spent time on the loungers just watching the turqoise ocean. The locals were friendly and we made friends quickly, but most of the time we just enjoyed the quiet time together. We were looking for a laid back island without big resorts, and this met our expectations. We look forward to returning to SeaGlass Villa 1 again!

This small resort is a treasure. The setting is gorgeous, the staff are extremely personable and welcoming, and there are plenty of opportunities to engage with other guests. The food is excellent and there are activities for everyone: diving, snorkling, fishing,kayaking, walking, biking, swimming or just sitting! Close to nature.

Rustic place but works for what you need it for.

My brother and I stayed at Seaside Getaway for 7 days mainly for proximity to good bone fishing. The location was perfect nice flat right out the front door and other good areas close by. House was comfortable and as advertised. Santisha and all her helpers were very helpful and friendly. We will be back.

The property is well-maintained and easy to find. It gets fantastic sea breezes, which keep the cottage feeling fresh and cool throughout the day. Both bedrooms have heat pumps, which made for comfortable sleeping even on warmer nights.The beach right outside is beautiful, and once the stairs and seawall are repaired, access will be even better. During our stay, we just had to take a short walk around a neighboring property to reach the beach, which wasn’t a problem at all.Just a heads-up: the listing mentions in-cabin laundry, but it’s actually located at a nearby laundromat. That said, all the essentials (wifi, tv, fridge, kettle, microwave, and stove) were in great working condition. The shower also had strong water pressure, which was a nice bonus.Overall I would recommend this as a place to relax and unwind.

House inside was nice, furnished well, and the kitchen was well equipped. Outside was messy with trash and broken stuff laying in the yard and behind the house. The website photos make the small porch look bigger than it is, and the yard nicer. All in all it was a good stay and use of the kayaks was super.
