The staff is very friendly, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The beach is beautiful but dining is limited. There are 4 restaurants, but they are not always open and you don't know which days they are and other than the buffet they require reservations which you do not know about until you try to enter. There are no menus so you don't know what they offer. The drinks are not well made and the beer is off, doesn't even taste like beer. We enjoyed our stay but will explore other options in the future.

This hotel was absolutely amazing! The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the bungalows were clean and secluded. I was blown away by the food. The hotel's attention to detail and commitment to excellence made for a truly unforgettable stay.

The place is beautiful, and the rooms and restaurants are nice, but the buffet food and the entertainment is awful. The buffet food was not a variety. IT WAS THE SAME FOOD EVERY DAY. The entertainment was composed of foreigners and di not know the dances not represented the history of the country.

Pros- The property is stunning. Perfectly located on a beautiful beach. Rooms are spacious and mostly clean. There were a few stains on bedding, but the staff was responsive and changed it. Drinks were readily available. Staff members speak a variety of languages so it was helpful for us non Spanish speakers. Get a massage on the beach. It was excellent! Cons- The food wasn't great at all. It's edible. The fruit was the best of all. There wasn’t much communication about what was happening each day. We had no clue and only stumbled upon a few things. They should offer an agenda at least a board in the front so folks are aware. The timeshare presentations get you at check-in so beware. The electricity went off for 3 hours no generators. Restaurants are on rotation and were weren’t able to try all of them because we didn’t know that. They need an executive chef to spice up the menu.

The hotel was very nice for how old it was. There is no food available anywhere on the resort past 10pm. They do have room service, but the food was terrible. We tried multiple things on the room service menu and they were all gross. There is only 3 restaurants besides the buffet and you have to have a reservation and we were only able to get one reservation for the entire week we were there because they only serve 10 people every 2 hours for 4 hours, so we had to eat at the buffet the whole time. The food was not very good and it is closed after 10pm. The staff was very unkind to Americans. Us and 2 other American couples said the same thing. The staff members were visibly rolling their eyes at us when we requested simple things like drinks or snacks. They did not appreciate that our spanish wasn't very good. We were told that this resort was great for people who didn't speak a lot of spanish because english was spoken at this resort and that is not the case at all. We know enough to order food and drinks and have light conversation, but we aren't fluent. We were told that this resort was very good for American tourists because english was spoken at this resort. The rooms were kept very clean and tidy and we did appreciate that a lot. The cleaning staff were the nicest staff members we encountered. They do enter your room to bring you gifts if you are a Viva club member and I did have someone walk in on me while I was changing. They just scanned their card and walked in.

Disappointing Stay — Not Worth the Hype I had high hopes for this resort, but unfortunately, my experience was below average. The biggest issue was cleanliness — I found random dead roaches in the room, which was both unsettling and unacceptable for a place that markets itself as a relaxing getaway. The food was extremely underwhelming — repetitive menus and poorly prepared dishes made it one of the most disappointing parts of the stay. My favorite foods ended up being the mango and the ice cream — which is pretty sad for an all-inclusive resort Service was just okay — not terrible, but definitely not warm or attentive. There’s a lot of room for improvement in both attitude and responsiveness. Overall, the resort did not live up to expectations. I wouldn’t recommend it unless major changes are made in cleanliness, food quality, and service.
