The carpeting throughout was not only filthy, but should have been replaced years ago. This hotel may have been a four star when it was built in the 80’s, but I’d be hard pressed to call it a three star now. The plumbing fixtures and bathrooms are way out of date, and the dining area is quite shabby. Getting to it was difficult because of road construction in the area, which could have been helped by improving signage, correcting Google Maps, or even sending customers a pin! We’ve had the pleasure of staying at a number of properties in the UK, but we didn’t get the value in this one. On the positive side, the staff was apologetic and moved us to another room.

The location of the hotel, the restaurant, the breakfast overlooking the Marina and the staff cannot be faulted. Unfortunately the rooms, especially the bathrooms, are somewhat dated now.

A stay in Hull.

Had a really lovely stay with my family at the holiday inn, Hull marina. Staff were super friendly and location was perfect for the Deep and the old town. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

We found the hotel to be very well placed for bars and restaurants and in a lovely setting overlooking the marina.The staff were excellent and very friendly and helpful.The room was very nice but the bathroom could benefit from an update,however was spotless.very good value for money.would definitely stay again.

40th celebrations

We came for my 40th birthday celebration and decided to upgrade to a marina view room. This was done at an additional cost, however when we got into the room there was a massive tree right in the way of the view. We also chose this hotel because of the air conditioning in the room but we couldn’t use it because it was bubbling. We were told by reception that they all make this noise (that’s not a good sign) when someone came to look he said how strange it was but it stopped while he was there. It restarted after he left so we ended up not using the air con.the sofa bed was also very uncomfortable and lumpy.

Short break, unexpectedly as a wheelchair user!

We were in an easy access room. Facilities good except it was a bath in there! Room good. Kettle, fridge, view. Staff were excellent. Very helpful.
