Best hotel I've ever had the pleasure of staying

This is by far the most beautiful and luxurious hotel I have ever stayed in. This hotel made the quick trip to SLC absolutely 100% worth the cost of the room. We planned to stay at a hotel nearer to our destination, once we arrived, we quickly changed our booking to the Grand American, thank goodness. Marble floor to ceiling, chandeliers that make you feel like you're in a palace. Beautiful furniture and oh my Lord the gardens! The owners are visionaries who spared no expense to make your stay wonderful. We stayed on the 11th floor, courtyard and mountain view. What a blessing. I have zero negative feedback. The staff were the upmost professional, kind and accommodating. The food at the restaurants was affordable and I actually had the best tasting three cheese and herb omelet (or omelet in general) that I have ever had in my 40 years of living. I wanted to move in and make it my home. Stunning hotel. I could write a book about its detail to charm and beauty. Absolutely worth it!!!

Property was ok. Staff not the best / friendliest / very helpful and clearly judgmental when you see them ignoring certain people and fawning over others that were older and a different appearance. Aging interior / decor and no perks to speak of. Biggest issue is distance from anything of interest and way too many panhandlers and drugs in the immediate vicinity.

I had the most amazing stay. Very friendly staff, beautiful hotel. The standard was outstanding. Food in the restaurant was delicious. Staff of the hotel left a beautiful cake in our room for our anniversary. They went above and beyond. Would love to go back there some day!
