Staff was great. The room at first glance was nice, but the hair dryer was broken, the tub was flaking away, and there was a very loud motor-like sound all night long. Even with earplugs, you could still hear it. Not sure if it was from the hotel or from something nearby.

Door was propped open when we went up to our room. Looks like they were finishing up cleaning and left things half put back in place. Door and night tables were pulled away from the wall and there was a lot of dust and dirt. Bed was very comfortable and we liked there was a big dog park right across the street. Was fine after driving 11 hours that day and needed some sleep.

A second stay here and as before it is a lil' cramped and noisy next to I-80 frontage and exterior hallway door slamming but clean, new, pet-friendly and nearby MedVet-SLC and In 'n Out. Staff are seem very friendly

From the moment I walked in, it was plain that this wasn’t the usual roadside motel. The actual owner, a very personable and dapper gentleman by the name of Bob, just so happened to greet me and make the whole check-in experience quick, interesting and pleasant. The room was as advertised, clean, comfortable and well-appointed. The biggest surprise was the FREE breakfast, which was very well laid out, well and continuously stocked and kept clean, and, perhaps most important, had a greater than usual number of offerings. The scrambled eggs were even real and tasty. Bob runs a tight ship. You’ll not be disappointed in your stay at his place.

Staff was very helpful a couple of times! Part of our party had to arrive early and change for a wedding. Front desk allowed Early Access to the room! Breakfast staff was awesome! Never have I been to a hotel with included breakfast that the staff did not immediately start cleaning up right at the end of breakfast hour. The great people here not only took their time putting away breakfast items, but they also asked us if there was anything else we wanted or needed before they put things away! This was such a refreshing behavior that we talked about it several times among ourselves! Unfortunately for this location, both the pool and hot tub were closed at the time of our stay. There should be a way for hotels.com to warn you of something like this before you book. And I mean to actively warn you, not just hope you come across it while you're looking at reviews, amenities, etc.

I booked a king bed when I made the reservation, the front desk woman with a stoned face gave a room with 2 queen beds to me and my wife. When I went back to change she started arguing that I did not reserve a king room. When she finally give a different room, thesheets and pillow cases were not fresh and clean, the bathroom door did not shut all the way, and the bed was so uncomfortable that each time you sat and got up or rolled over it would make a banging noise similar to hitting a sheet of metal not conducive to a good deep sleep. To top it all off, I get a hysterical phone call from the owner yelling and screaming hoe I dared tio give him a bad review and threatened me to call police.

Room was spartan, but exactly the space we needed it to be — particularly since the bed was so extraordinarily comfy! We were in town for a couple days and it was so close to so much! Lots of good eateries, very walkable neighborhood, and South Salt Lake City, is that City Hall? So vibrant and colorful!
